Show FOREST EMPLOYEES ATTEND SCHOOL On Februaary 28, Dixie National Forest employees from Cedar City, Circleville, Es-calante, Panguitch, and Teas-dale met at the Cameron Motel for a Radiological Monitor Training School. Rangers gave instructions on radiological detection instruments, fallout effects on agriculture, etc. A total of 23 Forest Service employees participated. In case of nuclear attack or accident, the Forest Service is responsible for the protection of its employees; determining hazards involved in using the national forest, and assisting in rural fire control. Each headquarters has Instruments to determine the amount of radioactivity. With the information that was given at the school, the employees can determine when there is too much radiation for safety. |
