Mr. and Mrs. Royal Alvey visited with his mother InEs-calante Sunday. Lyle Pollock is home aft er spending four months at Grand Canyon. A missionary farewell for Max Stewart has tentatively been set for Nov. 10th. The Russell Wright family, the Dar Hatch family, the Vernon Hatch family, Mr. and Mrs. Oral It i chins and Dee Richins were here for the 60th wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. John Hatch on Oct. 20th. A bread and milk banquet was sponsored by the seminary Wednesday night, all proceeds went toward the seminary library fund. The Jerry Mechams and son spent the weekend here. Our building project is underway, new siding is being put on our church and we hope to have many other improvements made in the very near future. Kent Cottam spent the weekend at the W. H. Man-gum home. The Joseph Aliens spent the weekend in Wayne Co. with his family. The seminary students put on the program in church Sunday. Talks were given by Sandra Ott, Gary Don Mech-am and Ronald Mlllett. Music was given by a girls chorus consisting of Gail Ott, Ann Porter, Laura Mangum, Carol Shakespear, Connie Wil son, Judy Twitchell. ' The Geo. Wilsons visited last week with ills mother Dee Riding in St. George. Margene, Floriene and Fonnctta, daughters of Elizabeth Barton, were in town Saturday. An adult sewing class is being held Wednesday evenings inthe high school. The Elvin Sudweeks, the Allan Sudweeks and theDe-rel Sudweeks visited last week with Jane Sudweeks. Celebrating birthdays were Larry Smith on Oct. 21, Elaine: Munson on Oct. 22. Thelma Jolley visited last week in Salt Lake .with her. children. The Bernell .Twitchell family and the Rulon Jolleys and daughter spent the weekend , at her home. Mr. and Mrs. John Mech-am had . some of their friends from Calif, visiting them during the deer hunt. Hope Wlntch was In St. George during the week. The Wallace Otis received word that their son Lt Brent Ott, stationed, with the 54th weather reconnaissance squadron In Guam, recently spent 14 hours on a mission as a crew member on a B50 bomb-'er penetrating into the eye of hurricane Emma. The group also hunted for a vessel temporarily disoriented in the wake of the typhoon in Guam. |
