Show One Of County's Oldest Residents Dies At Tropic SERVICES HELD FOR MRS. ADA ANNA GRAFF Mrs. Ada Anna Graff, the oldest lady in Tropic, passed away at the home of her daughter Mrs. Lucy Shakespear, .on March 2nd, tho day of her 90th birthday. She was born March 2, 1872 In Alpine, Utah County to George and Joanna Honot Bennett. She married John Jacob Graff in the St. George Temple; he died in 1914. She was an active worker in the LDS Church, having worked in many auxiliary organizations. She had lived in Tropic for several years with her daughter. Survivors, sons: George, American Fork; Arnold, Fillmore; daughter, Mrs. Owen (Lucy) Shakespear, Tropic; step-sons and daughters: Sam, Cannonville; Charles, Mid-vale; Joe, Riverton; Mrs. Sa- die Bolwinkle, Los Angeles; 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren. Funeral services were held March 6 in the Tropic ward chapel under direction of Bishop Malcn A. Mccham. Organ prelude and post lude, Genevieve LeFevro; song "Sometime We'll Understand", choir; Invocation, Ar-lo Barton; song "Jesus Lover Of My Soul", choir; history and tribute to Mrs. Graff, Mabel Ott; talks, Dicy Langston, Wilford Clark; song "In The-Garden", Marian and June Shakespear and Leona Stewart ;remarks, Bishop Mecham; song "Nearer My God To Thee", choir; benediction by Sam Pollock. Burial was In Cannonville cemetery; Marion Clark dedicated the grave. Tho family wishes to thank all who assisted in any way during the illness of Mrs. Graff. |
