Show TROPIC KLLA ADAIR Mrs. Mabel Ott reports that her son Joe has been sent to Frankfort, Germany for 10 months, he will serve in the Army's medical division. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Mecham are parents of a baby boy born Feb. 18th. The grandparents are Darrell Blackwell of Layton and the Malen Mech-ams of Tropic. The Alston Shakespears have 'their daughter Ruth Mae vis-itingwith them this week. Aoaby boy was bcrn Feb. 14th to Mr. and Mrs. DeRell Sudweeks, DeRell Is in Germany with the Army. The Arnold Smith and the Rowley Lewis families . have moved to Tropic. Mrs. Ella Adair, Mrs. Leola Ott and Mrs. Gretha Twitchell chaperoned 16 FHA members to their State convention in Salt Lake last weekend. Birthdays this past week were celebrated by Esther Adair, Connie Wilson, Douglas Shakespear, Suzann Wintch. Mr. and Mrs. James Munson and Mr and Mrs. Sila sIL Munson spent tho weekend in Mc-GiU, Nev. attending a get together for members of the Silas Munson family. Flora LeFevre is staying in St. George with her mother. Earl Jolley and Hubert Munson were business visitors In Richfield last week. Han Pollock was a recent visitor here with his parents. The Sam Pollocks were in St. George this past week. Tho Mateland Baughs are in Provo while Ruth finishes this semester as a student at the BYU. Thelma Jolley received word that Glen is in Massachusettcs and would welcome a short letter at any time from ward members. A party was held Saturday evening in the-recreation hall for the Stake high priests. The Eldon Brlnkerhof f s visited in St George this week with Stella Johnson at the hospital. Terry Lane was ordained a deacon Sunday and LaVon Jolley was ordained a Priest. Sherron G. Mclnelly visited her parents last week and took her sister's small son Cliff back to Calif, with her. Kay Griffin has returned to work at the Painted Desert Firesides were held Sunday evening at the Larvln Pollock and E. It Shakespear homes. The Young Marrieds clas9 was held this week at the La Mar Shakespear home. A bond election was held Tuesday to give the town board permission to use road funds to pay for the hardtop-ping of tho city streets. |
