Show PANGUITCH, Mrs. Jennie Leo had a miraculous escape from death on the night of the 4th of July, when her car plunged about 300 feet down a precipice at Clayton dugway while she was returning from the Lake. The accident occurred about 9:30 and she was picked up the next morning at 7:30 besides the road by Mr. and Mrs. Herb Hatch, and taken to Panguitch hospital. Most serious Injury seemed to be a bump on tho head. Mr. and Mrs. Garth Proctor and sons of Salt Lake were weekend visitors with Garth's )jrcnts, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Proctor. Mr. and Mrs. Quince Alvey and family of Las Vegas spent the weekend with her mother Mrs. Tdlle Clark. Also visiting overnight with Mrs. Clark on Tuesday were Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Humphries of Colton. Calif. The Carl Boyters have had a number of visitors: Mr. and Mrs. Keith Steele and threo children, and Mr. and Mrs. Dean Smith and four children were weekend visitors, also doing some fishing at the lake. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Cope of Spanish Fork were Sunday afternoon visitors after spending the weekend camping and touring Bryce and other scenic spots. Wallace Henrie Is presently visiting his grandparents, the Carl Boyters. Hospital reports are that Ivah Cline underwent major surgery Tuesday night; Wilma Orton had an operation Wednesday morning, had her arm amputated below the elbow, after her accident of weeks ago; Mabel Norton is there rcceiv.ng medical care. Mrs. Sherman Hatch of 1 Henderson, Nev. visited for two weeks at tho Phil Dickinson heme, taking Linda home with her on her return to Nev. The Herbert Prince family of San Diego have been visiting in town. |
