Show j AND YAK1TY YAK ... Saturday morning at White X Rocks on Panguitch Creek found the fish plentiful (too many small sized ones) as were the fisherman. Glayd Owens had a limit of big ones, I F G. Riggs wasn't doing bad- ly, neither were Kenny Adair and Nate Tebbs. LaMar Sevy and relatives from up north had trouble hooking on to big j ones- We left before Nina I Hatch and several others real- t ly got a start. ' I Reports on Lake fishing varied real good to real bad. ? High winds let you fish in the I boats very early In the morn- Ing or late in the evening. A few report catches over two j pounds, while half-pounders J seem to be standard catch. We didn't sec Alf and Cleta I Cherrington but we're sure they came down from Orem for the fishing. J David and May Sawyer of Hatch were in town a week ago to get their "chauffer" 11- f censes; May said she wanted f one so she could drive her husband! j Luella Mangum of Tropic i was one of the many people confused by the continuous blasting of the fire siren last Tuesday (the firemen went off without turning off the si- ren) . She came out of a room at the Flying M Cafe, into the other end of town, leaving her purse behind. A phone call ? was made to Eliza who found I the purse intact, despite the fact that several had rested in that room since Luella left. 4 Theron Ahlstrom of Ne-cedah, Wisconsin has been visiting in Tropic with his parents. Mr. and Mrs. Allen S. Miller this week. He told us he had a very .pleasant career of owning a Trading Post, also for a change of pace he sometimes teaches at school. |
