Show "Conservation" Theme Of National Wildlife Week Plans for Utah's annual observance of National Wildlife Week were announced for the Wildlife Federation, according to the President of the Panguitch Wildlife Federation George Proctor. In the March 16 22 educational campaign, this year will stress the need for providing better care of our public lands. Public lands play a vital roll In supplying every day living needs of people. Water sheds are the life blood of the western states, and our vast holdings of public lands in clude some of the finest outdoor recreation and scenic areas which provide our fishing and hunting and areas that tell of the historical development of this land. Each person owes it to himself to make certain that it is care fully protected. Only in this way can we hope to perpetuate for future generations the pleasures we ourselves know and enjoy so much, and only in this way can we contine to meet ever Increasing demands for recreation put upon us by out growing nation. |
