Show TROPIC Klla Adair Mr. and Mrs. Brent Adair and small son and Mrs. Gerald (Ina) Adair, of Kansas, visited for a few days this past .week. Brent graduated from Kansas State College and wilt report in Minneapolis Feb. 10 as an employee of General Mills. A birthday party honoring Charley Wintch and James Beatty was held Thursday evening at the Wintch home. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Woodbury and sons of Calif, arc visiting at the Charley Wintch home. Merrill is attending Dental College. The annual Freshie Frolic, held following the BV-Piute game was a great success. Donna Shaf er and Danny Shakes- pear were crowned Mr. and Miss Freshman. Larry Adair and Florence Shakespear were voted the most popular members of the class during a poll taken the same day. Joo Ott. who is attending the CSU, was a recent visitor. Mr. and Mrs. Leland Pollock and Jack Pollock were home from Grand Canyon this week end. Babies blessed Sunday were Darrell LaMar, son of Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Shakespear, who was blessed by his great grand father, two grandfathers, and his father assisted in the ordinance; Tammy Sue, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rulon Jolley. was named by her father. All Beehive Girls, Scouts, MIA Maids and Exporers who attended the Teen-Age Prom in Henrieville had a wonderful time. This is the first such prom to be held in the Stake. Mr. and Mrs. Berdell Barton were weekend visitors in Tropic and Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Betten-sen and sons were weekend visitors at the Thelma Jolley home. Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sawyer and daughter wore visitors at the Alton Shanespear home this past week. Mrs. Hall, mother of Mar-111a Jolley, was a visitor in church and in town Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Mel Weeks and daughters have been visiting at the Elizabeth Barton home. He is out of the service and will continue his employment at Salt Lake. Another grandson has come to the Orlan Colvin family, born Jan. 18 in Logan to Mr. and Mrs. Vern (Carol) Winters. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Park and daughter are visiting at the Ursel Ott home. A fire side chat was held Sunday evening at the Gam Haycock home; Pres. Thorley Johnson was the speaker. |
