Show Bryce Gets Own Naturalist Wayne B, Alcorn has been appointed as1 the first Partk Naturalist at Bryce Canyon National Park, Superintendent Glen T. Bean reported recently. Mr. Alcorn will fill a new position which has been created under the Mission 66 program of the National Park Service. Previously the Interpretive program at Bryce Canyon Park was under the direction of the Park Naturalist at Zion National Park. According to Supt. Bean, the appointment of a ParK Naturalist for Bryce Canyon Park will provide each Park with the services of a full- time naturalist, and will enable Bryce Canyon Park to provide interpretive servlcej throughout the year. Accompanying Mr. Alcorn to Bryce are his wife Gertrude, and two children Glen and Joyce. Two sons, Ralph and John, are employed by the National Park Service at Sequoia-Kings Canyon National Parks. |
