Show PANGUITCH One of the most charming of recent social affairs was the trousseau tea honoring Ardls Sevy, given at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Sevy. Many beautiful and useful gifts were received. Among the out of town guests were Mrs. Elmer Larsen and daughters Gall and Verna of Vernon; Mrs. Will Davenport, Wllma Lamereaux, Hazel June Robinson, and Emma Rob-Inson. of Paragonah; Dot Smith of Parowan; Cecy Pollock and Dora Barton of Tropic; Barbara Houston of Cedar City. Mr. and Mrs. J. F. Johnson of Salt Lake City, enroute to Phoenix, Ariz., stopped for a short visit with their daughter and family, Dr. and Mrs. George Monnet, Saturday. Karen Worthen wag treated at the hospital Monday evening for burns suffered when trying to light a stove with gasoline, Vee Worthen is here from Needles visiting with his family. Theora Heap of Hatch visited with Mr. and Mrs. Ted Perkins last Tuesday, Sheriff and Mrs. Deward Wood-ard are home from Salt Lakn where they attended the County Ofcicers Convention. Ethelann Talbot celebrated her birthday Ukt week with a party. Jean Rees, Margene Moore, Betty Jo Monnet, and Eunice Dug-gins spent Tuesday at Richfield. Addle Talbot was hostess to the Thursday Night bridge club. Betty Jo Monnet won high. Ken-na Talbot won 2nd, and consolation went to Shirley nenrle.Ouests were Isabel Moore, Cora Cooper, Erna Rlggs, and Opal Norton who won high guest prize. Attending funeral services at Richfield Monday for Mr. Otis Dickinson were Mr, and Mrs, Earl Marshall, Mr, and Mrs. Lynn Dickinson and daughter. Mrs. Lula Dickinson and daughter. Mrs. Bessie Talbot, Mrs. Hans Ipson, Mrs. Amelia Wood ard and Mr. Orvll Cooper. Margaret Daly has been a patient at the hospital. , There is a lot of sickness going around town. John Hatch and Fred Hey wood are recovering from pneumonia. A great number of people have been stricken or tecoverlng from the flu. Mr. and Mrs. E. T. LeFevre and two dauguUrs of Salt Lake, were weekend guests of their daughter and family. Mr. ard Mrs. Mayo Rlggs. Mark Sevy Is In town from Bait Lake City. Wanless Alvey and John Mcn-elly of Escalante were hers on tuslness at the Court House last week, Max Behunln of Boulder was transacting business with the County Attorney the first of the week. Susan Heaps of Escalante has been visiting her daughter. Mrs. Champ Church for awhile. Glen Lee was In Escalante Monday and Tuesday on Welfare work, Aubrey (Tobe) Cartrtght of Beaver and Field Representative for the Welfare Dept. in Southern Utah, spent Tuesday and Wednesday here and doing some Field Work In the county. Sheriff Woods rd made a business trip to Antimony Tuesday, for the serving of legal proceedings at that place. Mr. and Mrs. William Mitchell of Escalante were business visitors hero the first of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Bob LInford and family of Cedar City were visiting here Sunday. Dr. Dewey Clark of Provo was here this week visiting at the home of Thomas Sevy and visiting with Blaine Sevy at the hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Fred Sargent came up from Richfield Tuesday.
