Show XATIONAIj FOItKST TIMI1KU VOW HAIJ3 Oral bids will be received by the Forest Supervisor at his office In Cedar City, Utah, on June 7, 1955, for all the live timber marked or designated for cutting and all merchantable dead timber located on an area of approximately 400 acres In Sections 23, 24, 25 aad 26, T 34 8, It 4U W, S.UD.M., Barney Cove Chance, Dixie National Forest, estimated to be 500 M. ft. b.m. of ponderosa pine sawtlmber, log scale, more or less. Bidding will begin at 10:00 A.M'. and will be kept open for not less than 30 minutes, and as much longer as may be necessary in the Judgment of the Forest Supervisor to give all Interested parties an opportunity to bid. Each bidder must have In his possession a certified check, money order, or equivalent, payable to the Treasurer of the United States, In J he amount of $2,000.00 as deposit with bid" to be surrendered and applied on the purchase price If his bid Is accepted, refunded or retained In part as liquidated damages according to the conditions of the sale. Each bidder who has not previously operated on the Dixie National Forest, mum, prior to bidding, furnish a financial statement showing possession or availability of logging equipment, cash and other unencumbered assets sufficient In the Judgement of the awarding officer to carry out the terms of the timber sale agreement. Sealed bids may be submitted In advance, accompanied by the required deposit with bid. Sealed bids will be opened and posted prior to the time oral bids are received. No bid of less than $8.85 per M. ft. b.m .for sawtlmber of all species wilt be considered. In addition to making payments for stumpage, the purchaser will be required to make an additional deposit of $.75 per M ft. b.m. for the total cut of sawtlmber Included In the sale Into m cooperative work fund to pay the cost of timber stand Improvement.
