Tho firo boll rang about 4 p. m. nnd before tho flro' department arrived tho two stacks of liny and ptrnw and tho big barn was practlrnlly drstroyed. Two largo hogs and sovornl chickens chick-ens wero burned to death jiin tho flames. Tho barn and lot belongs to tho school' district, and nccording to tho flro chief, did not enrry any Insurance. Tho hay nnd livestock belonged be-longed to Mr.' Olson nnd thla nlBo carried no Insurunco and nil was a total loss. The wind wns blowing from tho south and soma llttlo fenr wns had as to whether tho flames would reach tho school houso.
