Mr, Orcm extended his appreciation for tho excellent work of the American Fork flro department in putting out tho flro In tho box car at their station Tccontly. Tho company enclosed a chock for $50.00 to bo used to help purchase bettor flro fighting apparatus appar-atus itor tho town. Tho recordor was authorized to answer the letter of Mr. Orcm and thnnk him for the contribution. A communication was read from Mrs. Ellen Greene, asking tho city to assist hor In selling a vacant lot ad-Joining ad-Joining hor property, to help pay the paving taxes duo on the same. Tho matter wns left with tho street com-J com-J mlttoo to investigate. I A communication was read from 1 tho D. &. U. O. llallroad Co., In I answer to a request mndo by the city J that they furnish two cars of gravel to fill up holes near tho Jones crossing, cros-sing, which tho city clnlmed were . made by tho railroad Co. The letter stntcd that tho company had Investigated Investi-gated nnd that the fault was not theirs. They did not feel llko furnishing fur-nishing the gravel.
