Dear Sir: The Federal Food Administration for Utah gratefully grate-fully acknowledges tho loyal and unfailing support of the press of the State in promoting the great national food conservation program, pro-gram, and takes this, means of conveying an expression of sincere sin-cere appreciation of the spirit of sympathetic co-operation which has been characteristic of the newspapers of the State, in their responses to the many appeals for publicity and support in this important phase of war work. Tho great war appeal to the people of tho United States, for-increased for-increased production ahd conservation conser-vation of -foods was made effective effec-tive only because it had tho support sup-port of the press, and I have assured as-sured Washington that the press of this State will stand solidly behind whatever agencies tho Government may establish to supply food to the starving nations na-tions of the earth and especially espe-cially if those agencies operate through a national appeal to the American conscienccr Again thanking you and extending ex-tending tho season's greetings, I am, Faithfully yours, W. W. ARMSTRONG, Federal Food Administrator for Utah. |
