Show Mrs. M. H. Boothe Suddenly Called. Last Sunday morning July 31, at about 4:30 o'clock, Olive Mcnorva Bootho, aged 31 years, !) months and 10 days, wife of M. Harrison Boothe of this city, passed suddenly away from the effects of heart trouble from which she has been a sufferer for the past few years. About twelve days prior to her death she gave birth to a fine son and was on the high road to a speedy recovery. Saturday afternoon and evening she stated that she was feeling fine. At 4 a. m. " Sunday she was siozed with an attack similar to those she had passed throng h on other occasions and requested her husband to givo her a drink of water, saying: "I am going." When Mr. Bootho returned with the water he had to arrouso her from a dull stupor and soon after drinking it, she passed away. A sorrowing husband and five small children, the youngest one being but 2 weeks old, are left to mourn her untimely death besides a host of relatives and friends. Dc- - , ceased was the daughter of Mr. I and Mrs. J. R. Moldrnm of Provo. She and her husband came here before the Sugar factory was completed, but re- wj-rr turned again to Provo. 4 years " v ago they came back to this city and have resided here ever' since. Her sudden demise wag a shock to the entire community and a severe :blow to her young husband, relatives and friends. Impressive funeral services wore held at the Garland hall Monday morning at 7 o'clock, after which the remains wore taken to the depot and shipped to Provo for burial. Quite a crowd of sympathizing relatives and friends turned out. The beautiful casket was covered with wrothes of flowers. Bp. A. R. Capenor presided and a quartette consisting of Joseph Kirkham, D. C, Chapman,Fred L. Rogers and N. C. Morten-son Morten-son furnished the singing. Singing "I Need Thee Every Hour." Prayer by Thos E King. Singing "I Know That My Redeemer Re-deemer Lives." The following speakers gave words of comfoit to the bereaved and paid a high tribute to the character - of deceased: de-ceased: Thos E. Secrist, W. L. Grovor. Joseph Jensen and Bp A. R. Caponer. The pall bearers wore A. H. Archibald, 0. L. Winters, J. J. Shumway, J. H. Archibald, Josopn den-son den-son and Thos. E. Secrist; Most all who attended the services accompanied the casket and mourners to the depot. Services were held at the Fifth ward meeting house in Provo Tuesday. Tues-day. There was a large attendance. attend-ance. The speakers were Elders A. J. Southwick and H. H. Cluff . Vocal selections were rendered by the Boshard quartette quar-tette The remains were interred in-terred m the Provo city cemetery. |
