Show State May Prosecute. H for Starving Cattle. H That the stato may take action H against Wm. Johnston of Box H Elder county, who is charged. H with starving a herd of cattle on H his farm, was shown yesterday, H when gov. William Spry sent H a letter to Attorney General A. H R. Barnes directing him to in- H vestigate the matter and deter- H mino the truth of tho charges H made against Johnston. Com- H plaints were received by gov. Spry and other state officials H from tho State Humino society. I It is charged that in a small H fenced field Mr. Johnston lias a. H largo herd of cattle which havo H not received food or water, and " I that fifteen of the cattle have al- H ready died, with the belief that; H many others will perish unless H somo action is taken.
