First let us consider the great building boom that began last fall and opened up again with the advont of spring. Note the many additions the Sugar Co. has built to residences all over town and don't fail to rccog-nixc rccog-nixc the fact that now business blocks have been erected in all portions of the city. Tho completion of one of the host sewer systems in the state is another big feature in the town's cap and the cement pavements and walks recently laid is a marked feature of tho town's progross and prosperity. Here aro a few noticable im-provements im-provements worthy of mention : Drainage system on Factory street, streets and sidewalks graded and gravlcd, poles re-moved re-moved from centor of streets, City Park put in excellent eon-dition eon-dition and sanitary drinking fountain installed, n c w sani-tary sani-tary drinking fountain on corn-er corn-er of Main and Factory streets, Sugar Co's big tiro system that equals the best of thorn, city's arc lights and numerous other improvements. Remember that with all these mentioned improvements, the town also boasts of a splendid water system, oxcollont electric light and power facilities and it is most pleasing to report that the town is all out of debt. Contemplated improvements to bo made during the summer and fall are: Public watering trough at the cross-roads of Main and Factory streets, fire system for business and resi-deuce resi-deuce portion of City, new busi-ness busi-ness blocks to bo erected, foun-dation foun-dation of stako tabernacle to bo put in and roads and sidowalks "added upon." As a suggestion along tho lino of these improvements, the fl Globe takes pleasure in calling fl attontiou to the fact that resi- dents of North Main street should bo provided with city wator. This is one of the most important parts of tho city and by all means should bo connect-ed connect-ed up with our city water system.
