| Show intermountain INTER MOUNTAIN MOUNIA rp A IN LIVESTOCK SHOW the critical premium lists of the sixth intermountain intel mountain livestock show to be held at N north salt lake at the union stockyards stock yards will be ready tor for distribution trib ution the first of next week ten thousand copies of the final and official lists will be distributed broadcast over the western states present indications are that between six and seven thousand head of livestock will be on exhibition at the forthcoming show entries are coming in fast and it Is certain that the head exhibited last year at the fifth annual show will be at least doubled in number every class of livestock will be exhibited including most of nf the prizewinners prize winners at other big livestock shows throughout the country preparations are now under way at the stockyards stock yards to provide ample facilities tor for the handling and exhibition of all the stock entered tor for the show the big stockyards stock yards pavilion measuring feet all under one root roof will be set aside for the accommodation of the breeding classes the pavilion Is equipped with electric lights water and other conveniences it will be handsomely decora decorate td with flags and bunting tor for the big show the carload fat classes are to be housed in specially prepared pens in the stock division of the yards these too are to be equipped with every facility tor for the proper handling of large numbers of cattle sheep and hogs special quarters are to be provided for the dairy cattle in the big pavilion arrangements tor for spectators and show visitors are to be on the highest scale in facilities tor for viewing the various br breeds edS S superintendent of city schools G N child is rapidly completing the program I 1 gra which calls for the participation of the students of the cites seven ht le schools in show activities the I 1 students will compete tor for prizes in the submission of essays on liveston livestock ek growing poster designs I 1 etc to the chamber of commerce livestock committee has set aside 55 prizes in each of the several competitive divisions the entertainment program under the supervision of a special committee is fast rounding into shape the greatest entertainment cate program ever proposed tor for a livestock show tuesday and wednesday of 0 show week have been set aside for the judging of stock on wednesday day evening there will be a hugh athletic carnival under the direction of hardy downing salt lake athletic and boxing on thursday Thu thursday night there will be a special banquet for visiting and exhibiting stockmen stoc kmen and their relatives and friends thursday has also been set asi detor defor the auction sales of fat stock on friday and saturday there will bo be special entertainment features provided tor for the pupils of the states high schools there will also be special en entertainment t ertain ment features at the plant of the cudahy packing company provided through the courtesy ot of F J hoffman general manager plant |
