A year ago last fall three Japs absconded ab-sconded from 'tho region of Garland, Box-older Box-older county, taking with them something some-thing liko 114,000 belonging for tho most part to fellow countrymen. A few local pcoplo und concerns lost money by tho defalcations. The men went to one of tho Japanese provinces and' there spent money lavishly, lavish-ly, but tho slj6ry of their wrong-doing in America followed them. They were arrested ar-rested by Japaneso officials aud word was sent to tho United States that they would be sent hero if wanted. The department at Washington notified tho proper officials of this state, but at thuttlmo tho appropriations appro-priations for extradition purposes were I exhausted, and Gov. Cutler so informed the public. Individuals who had suffered at the hands of tho Japs then undertook to raise funds sufficient to bring the guilty parties hero for trial, but tho mutter was delayed until it became advlslblc to release re-lease tba men held in custody. Later the Japaneso government, as u matter of honor, resolved to punish tho men In Japan, nnd sent here forovldcnce.
