Adverse reports were received from Chicago this moralng, where there is a run of 40,000 caUle, and tho market 10 to SO lower, but the supply here today sold without respect to outside out-side Influences, as the offrrlnp did not exceed the urgent local demand. The market closed last week steady, except for a slight weakness on cows. The feature last week was the sale of several trains of Northern New Mexico feeders at 14.36 to 14.50, and stockers In same shipments at 18.76 to $4.60. These cattle netted the owners $38,80 per bead, said to be the highest net prlco per head for a full train load of Now Mexico cattle since 1882 Colorado beef steers sold at 4.76, feeders 14.23 to 14.63, stockers 18.83 to 14.26, medium cows at 12.73 to 8.65. Idaho stockers sold last week at 8.63 to 4.06, stock cows 3.55. Panhandle Pan-handle stockers sold today at 18.60 to 4.15, cows at 12.90, heifers 8.10, heavy calves 13 60 to 14.50. Bulls are selling at the highest prices of the winter and cows also are regarded as very high, as compared com-pared with teers. Fed steers are selling toJuy at 4.60 to 15.80, although good to choice steers would reach 0.00 to (0.60. Tbo market on muttons closed last week steady, lambs closing 10 lower for the weok. The run today Is 10,000 head, lambs steady, sheep uneven, ranging from steady to 10 lower. Northern Colorado ewes sold at S3 .00 today, weighing weigh-ing 108 lbs. and some of the Standard Meat Company's ewes from Almena.sold at S3.28, wethors 13.73 and lambs at 7.83. Other sales of fed Western lambs today wero at 8.78 to 17.50, weighing from 80 to 88 lbs, yearlings at 16.16 to 8.40. Choice light yearllogs made M.80 late last week. No pea fod stuff Is here today, some of these lambs selling late last week at 7 .00 to 7 83, as the offerings offer-ings were generally light weight.
