The supply Is 0000 head today, to-day, market strong to 10 higher. Greatest Great-est strength today Is on fed steers, while heifers and country grades sell strong, cowh steady. Cows have held their places plac-es more consistently than any other class lately, remaining rteady throughout the late depression In steers and heifers. Hverythlng points to good cattlo prices for several weeks ahead, Grass In territory ter-ritory tributary to Kansas City will bo two or three weeks later than was figured on a short time ago, while on the other hand the buying power of the country at large was never so greot as it is now, with labor so universally employed, and at most remunerative wages.. A string of the I.ockbart steers sold today at $5 50 and !i 00, the latter price the top of tho market today. These steers sold at 5 V and 5 fift last week. Peeders have held nearly steady the last week, firm today, at 4 40 to 5 5, Mockers declined 10 to 'J."i cents last week, selling at 3 00 to (j 00, prices on them stronger today. Heifers range from 4 00 to 5 35; cows 3 25 to 4 8'r, hulls II 2,1 to 4 CO; calves U 60 to 6 75. Mutton receipts were only 25,000 last week, iucludlng 5000 Texas muttons and goats. The market declined slightly during dur-ing the week and quality of fed stull wns not extra good. Hun Is 8000today, market stronger; wooled lambs today at 8 50; ewes (i 50; clipped ewes 6 00 to 5 75; wethers around 0 00; yearlings 0 33, clipped clip-ped lambs 7 15 to 7 45. The Texas sheep are only medium qnnllty, and about half tho rr.cclpts of Texans last week had to go to the country at 4 75 to 5 00, with some common ewes at 3 25.
