Show CLUB NOTES. Torrents of ruin did not prevent tho Ladles' Scif-Culturc Club from holding their regular meeting Thursday afternoon after-noon at the resldcnco of Mrs W It Van-fleet, Van-fleet, ten faithful members turning out. At this session the Club Joined the Btato Federation of Women's Clubs and a committee was appointed to revlso the by-laws of the local organization. Most of the afternoon was spent in hearing reports from the delegates who attended the recent Federation hold in Ogden and a synopsis of the various topics was given as follows: Relief Society Nurses' Course, Mrs Moslah Evans; Canyon Crest Home, Mrs Lucy A Clark; State Clubs, I Mrs V A Nordqulst; Care and Education 'of Girls, Mrs JO Whccton. After partaking par-taking of delicate refreshments, the Club adjourned to meet at tho homo of Mrs W L Grovcr Tuesday , Nov. 20th. . Under the auspices of Miss La Von Griffiths and Mr Lawrence Smith, a jolly crowd of young people met at the homo of Mr and Mrs Burdctt Smith Friday evening for the purpose of organizing a "Happy Hour Club," to promote closer social relation among tho young peoplo of this city. After perfecting the organization, or-ganization, all present participated in various social games. Dainty refreshments, refresh-ments, prepared by Catcers' of Ogden, were served and the evening most pleasantly pleas-antly spent. |
