Handcart plonoors, Mr. Alma Rowley who passed to his reward t early Thursday morning, following an 111. ness of three months. Mr. Rowley was- a prominent tig. uru In civic circles, having acted, as an official ot American Fork City for many years. He was a nstlvo df England, born In Uddcrsilold, August 25, 1852, being 69 years ot ago att he, tlmo ot his death. When but a hpy of 6 yoars, he came to America with -his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Georgo Rowley. They crossed the plains with a hand cart company In 1858, ' Mr. Rowley's father acUng as cap- , tain. When thoy arrived In Utah, they made their homo In' Salt Lake City, until 1861, when they came to this city and made this tholr homo. 'Mr.' Rowley has been a resident of this city for 61 years. In 1875 tho deceased was married, to Miss Amelia Shipley In tho En.i dowment Houso In Salt Lako City-and City-and by this union becamo the father! of 11 'children, 8 of whom, survive.- During his life, ho was employed : in agricultural pursuits, but during.
