Show daughters of pioneers entertained the garfield county camp daughters of the utah pioneers met last saturday march 22 in honor of elizabeth lynns seventy ninth birthday at the homo home ot of her oldest son henry lynu lynn the program was given by the descendants ants of mrs lynn the last surviving member of the handcart corn com pany residing in panguitch Pan gultch thirteen great grandchildren aeve the first number each bach child reciting a rhyme which at the end spelled elizabeth tho the rhymes being boing composed by mary lynn dickenson only daughter barta lynn a granddaughter gran daughter gave a recitation A duet was sung beautifully by kenneth and mary lynn grandchild ren A handcart story was told by mary dickenson and a life sketch of grandma lynn was next read by her granddaughter daughter ef laura D talbot A step dance followed by four year old harold talbot great grandson jack dickenson playing the harmonica mr and mrs billie lynn geneva dickenson and bessie D talbot sangi a quartette accompanied by mrs eva bell on the guitar two selections on the violin were played breight by eight year old george talbot great grandson accompanied on the guitar by mrs bessie D talbot and the afe harmonica by jack dickenson mr and mrs dick lynn then sang grandma lynns linns favorites darling we are growing old and three leaves of shamrock everyone present was pleased with the talent shown by these youngsters in a this splendid program the occasion was enlivened by a parade of of tho the grandchildren pushing pus hing and pulling two typical band carta and with a beautiful scene ot of the handcart company drawn and painted by jack robinson refreshments of cookies and cuke cake were served to about fifty persons after this grandma lynns picture aas was taken by the side of a handcart everyone voted it a wonderful good time a and n d elsh wished d grandma many happy returns of the day |
