| Show i july U I 1 y fourtly F bourt galaday gala day tile fourth of july certainly was a gala day in panguitch right after the dance was over the saluting started but was quieted down until daylight when it burst ed forth and everyone duew it was waa tinia fiad to ge get up tip and start tho the ball rolling the band serenaded on tile the street at discoursing sweet strains of music which started the day off in good shape the parade an event to be proud of was started at 1000 with tile the following floats in I 1 lines ino F G gardiner as marshall marvin beckstrom as uncle sam the american legion fully decorated and filled with ex service men red cross nellie S lee leey S A worthen and nurses A ii iier mr i wi 1 x f i F float rac bearing goddes of liberty r miss mary M ary sevy k s columbia lizzie showalter and company i i utah which was a beautifully designed float y k poston postoffice Post office ice bapa department i rement C i sargent V A daughters daughter of tile Pione ersin several floats garfield county Tej telephone ephon co I 1 relief society I 1 i panguitch drug state bank of garfield southern exchange A C debba bb store i unique decorations garfi garfield e jd county comity N news ew s and mayor sargent and their better halves 1 I 1 1 city attorney G J go alding Gould hig and family S U E general merchandise panguitch ao op the th e clowns andeits and citizens lz ens in I 1 cars and on foot filled the krestof rest of the parade which was a lengthy affair 1 and would have do done n e credit to a city with a great deal more population than we were proud of the showing made imme immediately dia iely after the parade an excellent program was helain held inthe the social hall e 4 I 1 in the afternoon atter noon races of all 41 kinds were indulged in at abs tbs district tri c t s school chool building bui ling and the festivities closed with ath a big ance dance 4 in the social hall thus ending a one of the biggest days in the h history of panguitch utah y |
