| Show health Mee meeting tind A A meeting of the county co connola sl iera of the three counties of pluto garfield Gartl eld and kane hane tn together gether tog ethor with borno alitto or of tho the members ot of the school boards and interested citizens from these counties count lea met inet monday evening at tile tho court house in panguitch to discuss Il ways and means of financing a health unit for this territory tile meeting was called to order at p m the county officials then mot met to give the subject further consideration this second meeting adjourning at 1230 a m the tha project as outlined by art D B beatty state health commission Commiss loa er was tor for each of the throe three counties to support a county nurse estimated cost of this service to be about per year per county it the counties would do this the state board ot of health and the international health board a Rocket feller endowed institution would supply a health officer who is a physician choice to be left to the counties paying his salary and expenses this officer to operate dinall in all three counties dr beatty further suggested that this health officer could exceed his usual duties and give emergency care when needed all and d when no other physicians wire available the duties of the nurse were to be the care of mothers and young children inspection of school children tor for physical detects defects and contagious fagious diseases home visits for advice instruction and also tor for care in emergencies the beope acobe ot of her aera ices to range from the now born infant to the octogenarian it if necessary much interesting discussion was evoked the general meeting adjourning after unanimously adopting tho the following motion it Is tho the sense of 0 this meeting that we entertain the proposition made by dr beatty providing that funds can be obtained and that the school boards and county commissio commissioners nors be made a spec izil committee to consider ways and means of raising these funds and to take this proposition back to their counties the commissioners and school board members present then met the final outcome being the adoption of a moo motion tion to the effect that the county commissioners meet with the people i in their counties present the p propose tiba to them and it if it meets with ap to suggett means or other taxation ot of raising the funds re quiren qu ired |
