Show ORDINANCE NO 62 an ordinance regulating traffic be it it ordained by the city council of the city of panguitch Pan gultch county of garfield state of utah as follows 1st ast A used in this ordinance shall include any highway avenue alley park driveway bridge culvert or other public place in the city ot of Pan gultch on which vehicles are admitted tor for travel sidewalks shall include such portions of the street as aa are intended for pedestrians the sidewalks on either side of 0 main ahnin street shall include the space apace between tha th property line and extending outward for 12 feet the curb line shall be such part of the street as aa shall divide the sidewalk from the balance of the street and the same shall be designated as aa the curb line whether marked by ditches gutters constructed of stone or cement or other material and such other marks of indenture ns na shall designate the travelable part for pedestrians and for vehicles 2nd and every driver ot of vehicle meeting another vehicle shall pass to the right every driver of a vehicle overtaking another vehicle shall pass to the left side of the overtaken vehicle and not pull over to the right until entirely clear of the overtaken vehicle driver of slow and heavy vehicles loaded shall keep close to the right curb line of the street and no vehicle whether loaded or cm not shall travel on the left of the center of the street every driver of a vehicle turning into another street to the right shall turn the corner as aa near the right curb as possible every driver of a vehicle turning into another street to left shall turn around the intersection of the two streets no driver of a vehicle unless inan in an emergency or to allow another vehicle or pedestrian to cross its path shall stop the same in any public street except in the right hand curb thereof and so as to not obstruct a crossing 3rd ard no automobile or other motor driven vehicle shall be operated with the muffler open and no motor driven machine shall be operated within the corporate limits of the city without sufficient and adequate mufflers to deaden the gas explosions ot of the cylinder chambers to the greatest extent that may be ath it shall be unlawful tor for two vehicles to travel side by side anany on any of the streets of this city ath no person shall operate ope raten a vehicle on a street of this city at a rate of speed greater than Is reasonable and proper having regard to the width character or traffic or use of such street or so as to endanger life or limb and at a greater speed than 20 miles per hour gib all motor driven vehicles t traveling rat v ein any str street et 0 of 11 s c t after ft r dark and before daybreak shall be so BO lighted as to insure the greatest safety to approaching persons or vehicles and by the use of the expression pres slon to insure the greatest safety shall be construed to a proper lighting and one that is not lot glaring or improperly adjusted or one that Is dim or too poorly lighted to insure safety the foregoing provisions ot of this section shall apply to front lights the rear light shall be of red colored glass any violation of tho the provisions of 0 this ordinance within the corporate limits ot of this city shall be punished as an offense passed and aad approved this the ard 3rd day august A D 1925 councilmen sevy daly worthen ipson and owens voting aye and none voting nay absent and not voting none JAMES M SARGENT mayor attest SLADE HANCOCK city recorder state 0 of utah county of garfield SS 11 slade hancock ancock II the duly elected qualified and acting city recorder of the city of panguitch Pan gultch do hereby certify that the above and foregoing la is a true and correct copy of an ordinance regulating traffic on the ahe streets of panguitch Pan gultch as passed by the city council of the city of panguitch on the 3rd ard day of august A D 1925 in witness whereof I 1 have hereunto set my hand and affixed my official sent seal this the 3rd ard day of august A D 1925 SEAL SLADE HANCOCK city recorder |
