Show Mrs. Koppe, a widow near sixty years of age, died yesterday morning of peritonitus at her home in the Fifth ward. Mrs. Koppe is a lady who was highly respected by all who knew her and one who has had a wonderfully varied life. Born a German peasant, she lived tin Germany until she was married and then moved to Palestine where she lived for sixteen years in Joppa and in Jerusalem, only two years in the last named city. Then she came to Utah. Bome five years ago,with some money. This has been spent and of late she has been compelled to earn her own living which she did 1 y doing washing and other hard work. She! has two eons living, one in Salt Lake and one here in Provo. r Grand concert in the tabernacle tonight. |
