Show Nineteenth Century Club. Friday afternoon was spent very pleasantly by the ladies of the Nineteenth Nine-teenth Century club at the residence of Mrs. E. A. Wedgwood Owing to the illness of the acting president Mrs. Wedgwood, she was unable to preside. Mrs, Bartow was elected to the chair. The minutes of last week were read. Miss Lulla Brown's talk on "Roman Law" was a scholarly and finished review re-view of her subjict. The domestic news was given by Mrs. Bartow. Recess followed, after which the following ladies responded to roll call with quotations, Mesdames Coray, Bonham, Barton, Veatch and ose. Misses Alice Kellogg, Brown, Brinkerhoff, Thomson, M. F. French Jcsepene E. Kellogg. A committee consisting of Mesdames MonaUan. Rose and Miss Jennie French was appointed to draft suitable suita-ble resolutions on the death of a recent beloved member, Miss Bessie Eldredge Dulin. The committee on the Thanksgiving Thanks-giving program made their report which was accepted. The club will en. tertaiu a limited number of invited friends on the eyening of the 30th at the home of Mr. and Mrs. M. M. Kellogg Kel-logg when a program suitable to a Thanksgiving service will be rendered. The club adjourned to meet on December De-cember 7th. |
