Show "The New Boy" Every girl loves a school boy, Every man loves a girl, especially . if he i6 married. This is particularly true of our ( town. The hotel man says he never heard of so many elopements. But there is a play coming that will encourage en-courage old fashioned marriages. It concerns the adventures of a pretty young widow, who has married a little chap no bigger than a boy. When he stands on his toes, he can just touch her shoulder. Before she has time to explain, the professor of a fashionable boys' school makes her tbe matron, wills her his property, fancies her husband is her son, puts him into the classes for discipline and education. The little fellow is a terror. His pranks demoralize demor-alize the school. In the end he is arrested ar-rested for stealing apples, but he saves the doctor's fortune, thwarts the villain vil-lain of the play, whose daughter has been hueging and kissing him on the stage. The disclosures are like a dynamite dyna-mite explosion. The audience clutch at the Beats and roar with applause. The box office man is two hours late counting up his receipts, they are so great. This play is running in London, Australia and- Germany to crowded houses. It will be here on Saturday at the opera house. |
