Show One of the gang of county prisoners whom S'reet Supervisor Allred had out at work today got away. Search is being be-ing made for'the fellow. Charles Anderson, a Second ward youth nineteen yearB of age, was arrested ar-rested yesterday on complaint of Post-mastei Post-mastei Roberts charging him with discharging dis-charging firearms within tne city limits. The lad was tried, found guilty and sentenced to pay a 5.00 fine. He will serve the sentence out in jail. He shot off a small cannon loaded with rocks and the neighbors feared lest some serious accident might result if the practice were continued. At a dance in the T hird ward last evening given by the Relief society a number of hoodlums who had been refused re-fused admittance threw a heavy rock at the door of the building, breaking it and making a moat awful no'se which badly frightened several women. Chase was made after the boys by Officer .Wilkins,' son nf Marshal Henry, and Thomas Tayior. The former two continued con-tinued until four of the boys were caught, named Bray, Richardeon, Williamson Wil-liamson and Davia. They should be prostcuted and punished for their offense, of-fense, and will be if the city officera do their duty. |
