| Show LIGHT PUT PLANT LOCATED the location for the new municipal electric light plant has been definitely fixed at a point below the old power plant ot of the brigham city electric light and power company and just a little above the present intake of the brigham city roller mills com company pany the original intention was to locate the plant at a point almost 0 opposite the flour mill but by checking over carefully the amount of power powe r t to 0 be generated at the lower site compared with the amount to be generated at the point which has definitely been decided upon it was discovered that only a sufficient additional amount of power could be generated to exchange for power rights of the mill and the additional cost of the pipe line to the lower site would be that would mean that the city would have to pay twenty thousand dollars more to ic locate the plant at the lowest possible point and would get no more power for commercial purposes so the site farther up the creek was decided upon city manager roskelley is constantly working on tile the line in the canyon and will now go ahead and lay out the entire system so that the actual physical work of constructing the pipe line and the power house may proceed under full pressure in order that the enlarged plant may be ready tor for service to the community as early next year as possible the amount of energy to be generated at the site selected is approximately 1200 horse power |
