Show HIGH TREASON. Paris Greatly Excited Over the Disclosure Following the Arrest of Captain Dreyfus. The excitement over the spy mania is still high in Paris. The case of Cap tain Dreyfus, who is awaiting court martial, causes extraordinary comment It is said to be the intention of the government gov-ernment to insist upon the extreme penalty pen-alty of death in case he is found guilty. There is apparently good authority for the statement that precise particulars respecting the transport and concentration concen-tration of the French forces in the event of mobilization after a declaration decla-ration of war were placed in the hands of agents of the triple alii-anca alii-anca The hours of the departure and running of trains with troops on the main railway lines and also the branch lines were set forth, together with details de-tails of the places at which stores would be procured en route. It is asserted that evep the original documents were supplied sup-plied to the intelligence department of the triple alliance at Berlin. . Another story relates that the disappearance disap-pearance of some important paper from a pigeonhole at the war office was frequently fre-quently noticed. After diligent searoh the document would be found in the precise place from which it had been abstracted. The general staff also i? said to have been aware that the Ger man war office prided itself on its ini tiation into many of the secrets of the plan of mobilization. For a long time the French military authorities were puzzled, but eventually succeeded in unraveling the mystery.
