Show PROvO CITY SUED. James W. Scott and Wife Aik for 15, 150.00 for Damages Sustained. The Dispatch informed its readers at the time of the accident that Mrs. Scott,lwife of the baiber,had broken fcer right leg and sustained otLir injuries, by stepping' elillrugU A irnt i1df;6 On G street, late at night, and being thrown violently to the ground. The defective bridge was upon the, sidewalk of block 3 in plat "A". The accident occurred upon the night of December 28, 1894. Ever since that time Mrs.Scott has been under the care of a doctor. She and her husband have now joined in a damage dam-age suit against the city, alleging that the accident was the result of the neglect ne-glect and careless disregard of duty upon the part of the city in maintaining maintain-ing a defective foot bridge upon th sidewalk. Alleging also that she has permanently lost the use of her right leg to her damage in the sum of $15,000.00. Doctor ard nurse bills to the amount of $150.00 haye been paid, hence the suit is planted plant-ed for $ 150,000.00 and coBts. A. D. Gash is attorney for Mr. and Mrs Scott. |
