Show A SAD AFFAIR. Frank Van Wagoner Falls From a R. G. W. Train, His Right Leg Cut off, His Arm Smashed and Scalp Torn Away. Picked Up Sy Section Ftfen and Removed to the Salt Lake Hospital. A very severe accident occurred yesterday yes-terday morning byr w hich Frank Van Wagoner, of this city, will probably lose his life. It apf ears that the young mail had boarded the 1 1 i Grande Western passenger train .No. K, which left here for Salt Lake shortly after tnidiikht.and had fallen off when on the outskirts of town. Dr. Pike received re-ceived a telegram from the engineer of a freight train who sent the message from American Fork, telling him of t he accident. Tiie engineer l ad seen the section nu n at Jhtttle ('reek and had sent them to pick the man up. Dr. Pike boarded the first train and met the section men with their car, j bringing the man to Provo. As soon as the doctor saw the amount of injuries 'he had him placed on the train ami took him to Salt Lake, where he w ili receive the attention his case requires. The young man is only 21 years of age, and had been in ti e employ em-ploy of the l. L.. M. & P. Co.
