Show A New Style of Hitching Post. Dwight Piatt of Milford,Conn., hitched hitch-ed his ox team, loaded with lumber to some freight cars standing on a side track near the Milford railway station one day last week and went into a neigh boring hostelry to recuperate. A freight train came along abotat that time and coupling on the oars without noticing the team started up. The oxen never went so fast in their live, as they did during the next few seconds, and their path was strewn with lumber for some distance. The team was discovered by a brakeman before the oxen were injured, however, and Mr. Piatt now uses ordinary ordi-nary hitching posts. -Hartford Conrant, |
