Show Patti Rosa. Patti Rosa is not excelled by any iu her line on the American stage, and her success has grown with Buch steady rapidity that she is fast becoming one of the most popular of actresses. Her appearance here next Saturday night at the opera house will present her in her most successful play,"Miss Dixie," and she will be aided in its presentation presenta-tion by one of the best comedy companies com-panies ever organized. Referring to the little star's work, a California paper pa-per says: "Patti Rosa advances , she is brighter and better in all. she undertakes. She gives just a shade more- of seriousness to her roles, but does not a particle lessen les-sen in bubbling fun. She has a very superior company ; there is no weak timber in it. Her b tritone, Maurice Darcy, is not only a fine singer, but a good actor; her Dutch dialect comedian, come-dian, Joe Cawthorn, is the best seen here yet. He is superior to Gus Williams Wil-liams or any we nave had on Sacramento Sacra-mento boards, because more versatile, a good dancer, a capital story teller, a clever actor, a good instrumentalist and an all-round comedian. So, through the troupe, excellence pre vails." |
