Show A Duel Threatened. Vienna. Jan. 3 Special to Tribune. Count Von Arnim, son of Count Harry Von Arnim who was driven from the German diplomatic service by PrinceBismarck and was prosecuted for misconduct in office after the Franco-Prussian Franco-Prussian war threatens to challenge the old Chancellor to f gbt a duei. Hans Blum asserted, in his "Germany in the time of Prince Bismarck," recently published, that Count Harry Von Arnim Ar-nim used his diplomatic office to delay the negotations as to the indemnity after the Franco-Pruasian war in order to help Baron Ilirsch in a financial speculation. On December 9th the present Count Von Arnim denied in an open letter the correctness of Blum's story. T .e denial was communicated to Bismarck, who ignored it. Count Von Arnim published to-day in the New Frie Presse a declaration that unless he should receive a reply from Prince Biemarck he would hold him answerable answer-able for the consequences. |
