Show The recently organized Wool Growers association of Utah county is busy this afternoon in the Commercial & Savings bank building, adopting resolutions and by-laws. On March 19th the K, of P. lodge will give an entertainment in the opera house, a recital of the great drama. Damon and Pythias, an exposition of the principles on which the lodge is founded. The firemen have secured the Christensen Chris-tensen Dancing academy and band, with Mr. Joseph White as prompter, for a grand ball on Friday evening, March 16th, This will be their St. Patrick ball. The same committee who had the last dance in hand are engineering en-gineering this, and it goes without saying say-ing that when Willard Ward, Jas. Gray and John Nicholson haye charge that it will be a success, and especially when under the auspices of Provo's popular fire department. The boys of the Garden City Lodge No. 18, A. O. U. W. give their second dance tomorrow (Friday) evening in the Southworth hall and it goes without with-out Baying that this, as was the other, will be a grand success. The reception committee consists of twenty-three members including Hess, Brereton, Craig, Cochran, A. Eggertsen, Hoover, Alex Hedquist, jr, Pyne, McCurtain, Rev. La Vake, Speckart, and others. The other committees are filled with competent men and in fact the affair is in the very best of hands. |
