Show It was rumored today that the Co-op at Draper had been burglarized last night and that the burglars were headed this way. Sheriff Brown re-, ceived word this morning to arrest, if' seen, some men whose diacriptionsf" were given, on a charge of destroying considerable school property at Draper. Undoubtedly these are the "burglars." Ox December 8th last, some one set fire to the straw stacks of Mr.Fowlke's at Pleasant Grove. The hosehold was aroused at midnight and Mrs. Fowlke became greatly excited, and in her efforts to gather the neighbors to assist in extinguishing the blaze, over exerted herself, and caught a severe cold. Heart trouble followed andfiomthe day of the fir she gradually sank, and a few days ago died. Elizabeth Ann Fowlke was only 24 years and 8 months of age, and was highly esteemed by all who knew her. The social given by the King's Daughters of the Baptist church last night was a real success. It was designed de-signed for benevolent purposes and netted over fourteen dollars. It will make a few hearts happy by relief as well as encourage those young ladies to think and act for those not so fortunate as themselves. The King's Daughters are to be commended for this kindly spirit and ability to excute. If more of the dimes spent for pleasure in these times of distress were given to the needy it would be commendable, and there would be more happy hearts to bless the doners.
