With capital, and confidence .in the honesty and good will of tho government, this industry conld again be put upon a profitable footing. So near as it is to ns, and with the rapid rap-id improvement in means of transportation, transporta-tion, it is the natural winter garden for the United States There is no question about the "frostliuo, " that bugbear of the fruit and vegetable growers in our own sonth, and with cheap lands and cheap labor and the encouragement that steamboat lines are now giving we could bo supplied unfailingly with tropical trop-ical products from this source.
