Making gingerbread houses is a third grade tradition, and the 2nd graders are anticipating their turn next year. They make the graham cracker houses at home, then with a parent or buddy come to school and create their masterpieces. Friday, December 9, the air was filled with the aroma of "sugar" and candy! The children completed their houses with their "buddy's" help, and they are displayed in the North Summit Elementary library for everyone to enjoy! They still "smell" good enough to eat, and they will remain there until the holiday vacation when the kids will take them home. 6t1gscrige 7o 7Ae 9■Ceevs I 783- 147 I N.S. Lady Braves Score 47 to 9 The future North Summit Lady Braves Basketball Team is at it again and up to their winning ways! On Dec. 10, the 7th grade girls team composed of: Ashlin Blonquist, Elise Richins, Madi Birk, Megan Richins, Brenna Richins, Anne Marie Winters and Hunter Vernon competed in the Park City 8th grade Tournament at Park City High School. In the first game, the girls took on Wasatch. They defeated them 47 to 9. Next, they played Park City and beat them with a score of 33 to 16. Finally, they played Copper Hills. They won The North Summit third graders were excited to go to Zions Bank in Coalville for their annual decorating of the tree this final game with a score of 46 to 26. The girls won the tournament with these great wins. Congratulations to these girls for their awesome victories. The girls would like to thank Coaches Tub Garfield and Chris Vernon for all they do to help them improve. North Summit 65 over Grand 41 The first game of the season ends in a victory over Grand after Nathan Rees made 17 points! Braden Brown had 11 points, Isaac Atkinson 2, Ben Stephens 4, Keegan McQueen 8, Nick Rees 2, Dillen Erb 2, Jaxon Vernon 5, Joseph Seright 7, Makay Fristrup 7, bring the total to 65 at the buzzer! Congratulations to Keegan with his 3-pointers! North Summit - 81 with the win over Layton Christian - 77 The score kept climbing, and with the help of Jaxon Vernon, Joseph Seright, Nathan Rees,Keegan McQueen and Makay Fristrup, they made up the entire score of 81, except for 2 points. Congratulations boys! NSHS Sports Schedule Tooele Invitational for Swimming will be Dec. 16 & 17. North Summit Wrestling Team will host the North Summit Invitational Dec. 16 & 17. Girls Basketball Tournament @ Richfield will be Dec. 16 & 17 with game times TBA. NS Girls Basketball will play @ Duchesne Thursday, Dec 22. North Summit will host N. Sevier Thursday, Dec. 29.
