Arts-Kids' unique approach also improves communication and problem solving skills among participants. Arts-Kids continues to grow. In addition to successful ongoing programs at Park City schools, the program at North Summit Elementary school in Coalville has expanded to two groups of 25+ students each due to increased interest and need. At the invitation of the principal of North Summit, a transition group was added for 4th graders to help ease their way into middle school. In collaboration with Valley Mental Health, ArtsTeens added a high risk group at Park City High School for students that are facing suspension. Arts-Kids is also collaborating with the Utah Department of Juvenile Justice and is seeking funding to implement a weekly art therapy program for incarcerated teens at the Slate Canyon Detention Center in Provo.
