BOARDOF EDUCATION TO USE "U" SERIAL. The Board of Education of the City of New York has made arrangements with the Universal Film Manufacturing company to use serial, "Winners of the West," the new style as an aid to students in the various American history classes of the 60 city schools, according to advices from Universal Film. Beginning this Saturday,' Ernest L. Crandall, Director of Lectures and Visual Instruction of the New York Board of Education, will hold morning showings of "Winners of the West In the Censtreet, for specially setral Theatre, Broadway and lected pupils. The showings will be at ten and eleven oclock respectively and will consist of two episodes of the serial each week, for nine consecutive weeks. 10,000 pupils will see the showings every Saturday, It Is declared.
