Morrow 1931 2011 FAYETTE - Evelyn Margarette Patterson Morrow, age 79, of Fayette, died June 1, 2011 in Gunnison, Utah of complications from cancer. She was born June 12, 1931 in San Diego, California, a daughter of Benjamin Pinkney and Pearl Viola White Patterson. She married James Mitchell "Mitch" Morrow, September 24, 1949 on a sand dune by Gordon's Well in California. She was a member of the Baptist Church. She enjoyed fishing and hunting with her husband, gardening, family dinners and get togethers, rolled tacos and home made ice cream, trips to Mesquite, playing cards, games, puzzles and she liked to ride her horse. She enjoyed taking pictures and when she was young, she enjoyed sewing. She is survived by her husband, Mitch, of Fayette; her children: Jeanne Ann Burns of Fiarbury, Nebraska; Sandra Norma Larson Nelson Salt Lake City, Utah Kay Nay of Enoch; Patty Dale Bone of Central Valley; Kathryn Elaine Pendleton of Richfield; Richard Wayne Morrow of Aurora and Donna Jo Morrow of Ephraim; 20 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; 1 brother, Billy Patterson of California. She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Anita Taylor, a brother, Bennylee Patterson and a son-in-law: Michael Pendleton. Funeral services will be held Saturday, June 4, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Fayette Town Hall, 90 South 100 East, in Fayette, where friends may call for viewing Saturday morning from 10:00 to 11:30 prior to the services. Bradbeny Elkhart, IN Stanford Lesley Bradberry, was born February 25, 1946 and passed away May 29, 2011, while vacationing in Utah from injuries sustained in an ATV accident. He is preceded in death by his parents, Vera and Jewel Bradberry. He is survived by his wife, Brenda; children, Todd, Jay and Gina; nine grandchildren; brothers, Jim, Gary and Darrell and sister, Elaine. He worked at Mishawaka Steel for 27 years and Elkhart Central State for 6 years. Stan was an avid fisherman, billiard, motorcycle and camping enthusiast. He was loved by all and a friend to everyone who met him. , She is survived by her, son, Norman Maurice (Carol) Larson; brother, Mardell (Elva) Jensen; sister-in-law, Celia Jensen; grandchildren: Todd (Tracey) Larson, Damon (Heather) Larson, Darren (Melanie) Larson, Kimberly (Kevin) Kehl, Derrick (Kendra) Larson, Heather (Steven) Gagon, Mandy Kershaw; Clyde Nelson's children, Ray (Danielle) Nelson, Garth Nelson (deceased), Gary (Marsha) Nelson, Dan (Pam) Nelson, Dean (Karen) Nelson; and many other grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Norma was born in Centerfield, Utah, January 27, 1917, to Antone Willard and Ellen Elizabeth "Bessie" Tyzack Jensen. After Bessie's death, Willard married Anges Curfew Harward. Norma attended Centerfield Elementary School and graduated from Gunnison Valley High School. She married Maurice Larson of Mayfield. They lived most of their married life in Salt Lake City. They had one son, Norman Maurice Larson born in 1940. Maurice passed away February 19, 1962. He was just 45 years old. Their son was 12 years old. Norma worked at J.C. Penny for 23 years. Some years later Norma married R. Clyde Nelson and he had five boys to bring to this marriage. Their names are Dean, Dan, Gary, Garth (deceased), and Ray. Norma enjoyed this addition to her family. They lived in Magna for a while before moving to Salt Lake. Clyde and Norma enjoyed their motor home and visited many states including: California, Alaska and Canyon Lands. They could grow beautiful roses and other flowers. Their vegetable garden was enjoyed by everyone. Their grandchildren lived quite close by and they enjoyed their visits and seeing them grow up. Subscribe to the Gazette! Call 528-5178 MANTI - Our beloved mother, grandmother, and sister, Winona Allen Zwahlen, age 78, died June 1, 2011 in Mt. Pleasant, Utah. She was born March 21, 1933 in Ferron, Utah, a daughter of Orvel Stanley and Sarah Lucille Keith Allen. She graduated from Ferron High School, Class of 1951. She married Authur Neale Zwahlen, November 21, 1951 in the Manti LDS Temple. He died December 4, 1989. Winona was an active member of the LDS Church, serving as Stake Camp Director for the Young Women, Junior Sunday School Coordinator, and in various Relief Society callings. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served as a Room Mother for her daughters when they were in school. She enjoyed handiwork, sewing and baking. Winona is survived by her children: Isabella Jensen of South Bend, Washing- ton; Iris and David Larned of Smithfield, Utah; Sarah and Bart Ward of Spokane Valley, Washington; 10 grandchildren; three sisters and one brother: Mary and Reed Memmott of Scipio, LaVon and Kenyon Jensen of Gunnison; Kathleen Alder of Cedar City; LaVar and Linda Allen of Provo. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers and one sister: Orvel Keith Allen, David William Allen and Dorthy Amelia Uremovich. Funeral Services will be held Saturday, June 11, 2011 at 12 Noon in the Manti LDS Stake Center, 555 East Union Street in Manti, where friends may visit with the family Saturday morning one hour prior to the services. Services were held Saturday June 4 at the Fayette Town Hall. The Morrows have made their home in Fayette since leaving Axtell. Evelyn is survived by her husband of 61 years, children: Jeanne Ann Burns, Sandra Kay Nay, Patty Dale Bone, Kathryn Elaine Michael (deceased) Pendleton, Richard Wane and Cyndi Morrow, and Donna Jo Morrow and Puppy Paco, 18 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren with 2 more on the way. Another former resident, SGT Mitchell Heath, left for a year of military duty with the Utah National Guard 222nd Unit of Cedar City and St. George to Iraq for the following year. They left June 4 to Camp Atterbury Joint Maneuver Training Center for several weeks prior to going to Iraq. SGT Heath had been a member of the 145th Field Artillery Unit based in Manti and this is his second deployment to Iraq. He is the brother of Steven and Tanesha Heath and the grandson of Audrey Boore of Axtell and Jo Ann Heath of Redmond. Kalyce Bastian was one of the Honorable Mentions who entered the annual Junior Duck Stamp contest through the Gunnison Valley Middle School art class. Kalyce is in the 7th grade. She is the daughter of Gay and Bevan Bastian. Bryce Sorensen won a $250 cash award to USU for his participation in the dairy heifer contest held with the Richmond Western Spring national Dairy Judging Contest as a member of the Gunnison Valley High School FFA Dairy Team. Congratulations to all the Gunnison Valley High School and Middle School who earned Honor Roll for the fourth quarter of the 2010-11 school year.
