I'm sure in most cases that statement rings true. I know for us the need for a camp leader led us to choose the title, camp captain. As camp captain there are many issues and details that must be addressed, non of which should be taken lightly. In our family the duties of camp captain are rotated on a nearly yearly basis, thus allowing the responsibilities to be shared by nearly everyone. Courtesy Photo a sign of favoritism, but I believe the decision was made out of respect for Jim and his longevity within the Jensen family. Jim was considered part of the family long before he and Wendy exchanged their vows. The second son-inlaw to become camp captain was Brady Mickelson. Brady's vast knowledge of the great outdoors served him well during his tenure. As well as ashave heard rumblings that this is suring that we do not camp where we hunt. As the Jensen family continues to grow we have found that the job of camp captain is just too big for one person. So, Rohn Jensen and Tom Sorensen have taken on dual rolls as co-camp captains. Rohn and Tom were friends long before they became brother-in-laws, so the move just made sense. I truly enjoy our times together as a family and from time to time I notice both past and present camp captains huddled together discussing our next family outing. Occasionally they will glance my way, undoubtedly discussing when the torch will be passed to me. Or more likely, drawing straws to see who gets stuck mentoring me through the process of becoming camp captain.
