Show Society Page 3 The Gunnison Valley Gazette Friday, July 7, 2006 Achievements Missionaries Elder Kendon D. Sorenson Elder Kendon D. Sorenson, son of Perry and Merri Lynn Sorenson of Centerfield, returned home on June 28 after serving honorably in the Chile Antofagasta Mission of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He will be reporting on his mission in the Centerfield 1st Ward on Sunday, July 9, 2006 at 10:45 a.m. All friends and family are invited to attend. First Birthday Kaleb Belnap Kaleb Brady Belanp will celebrate his first birthday on July 11th. He has a smile and laugh that are contagious. Kaleb and big brother Talon get along very well and are the best of buds. Kaleb's parents are Brady and Laura Belnap of Mayfield. His grandparents are Brett and Sherry Belnap of Mayfield and Rex and Kathy Brown of Centerfield. * Happy Birthday to our Paeb! Weddings Brandon Jensen Brandon Jensen was selected to attend the 2006 Governor's Honors Academy at Southern Utah University. Brandon was selected based on his academics, leadership and community ' service. The Governor's Honor Academy was held June 19th through June 30th. During the academy, Brandon was able to hear many distinguished speakers including Governor John Huntsman Jr., former Senator Jake Garn, Reverend France Davis and many others. He participated in service activities. Brandon was able to gain much from the councilors and the other 47 participants from all over the state. He also received a four year scholarship and six college credits upon completing the academy. Brandon would like to thank Hermansen's Roller Mills, Gunnison Valley Lions Club, Valley Builders, Bown Dairy, Gunnison Valley Bank and Rasmussen's Ace Hardware for sponsoring him. The couple will be honored at a reception that same evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the same location. The bride-to-be is the daughter of Kim and Suzanne Payne of Salina. She is the granddaughter of Max and Claudette Peterson and the late Jerry Payne of Redmond and Gene and Renon Reed of Richfield. Brittanie is a 2006 graduate of North Sevier High School. Curt is the son of Dan and Michelle Dalley of Mayfield. He is the grandson of Phil and Hazel Diesinger and the late Dwight and Susie Dalley of Vernal and Tony and Loraine Machado of Rapid City, South Dakota. He is a 2003 graduate of Gunnison Valley High School. The couple plan to make their home in Salina where they are both employed.
