M., Armstrong-Christensen Phyllis Beck 6lain, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, peacefully left this life on Sunday, July 16 at the age of 81. She was born Sept. 24, 1924 to Osmer Hayes and Sarah Phyllis Sorensen Beck in Spring City, the eldest of seven children. She was married to Boyd Nelson Blain on March 14, 1942. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Manti Utah Temple. Together, they raised five wonderful children: Joseph Clyve Blain (deceased); Andrea Sue Blain, Spring City; Jeffrey Boyd (Janell) Blain, Shelley, Idaho; Jon Lee Blain, Spring City; and Phyllis Christine (Doug) Jensen, California City, Calif. Besides being a wonderful mother and grandmother, she had many talents. She enjoyed cooking, crocheting, reading, painting and visiting with family and friends. Phyllis was an active member of the LDS Church, where she held many positions throughout her life. Boyd and Phyllis were able to serve an LDS mission, where they served in the Chicago and Washington DC temples.
