William Higgins, Republican candidate for d'strlct attorney, this week filed suit against Judge D. 8. Morris of Millard county for f 25,000, alleging a malicious libel. The action arose over Republican bulletin 2 issued from state headquarters, In which Judge Morris was branded si an Ananias and compelled against his will to tell the truth. When the bulletin reached Fillmore, where Judge Morris was holding court, and after Mr. Htggens stated that he had furnished the information for the bulletin. Judge Morris Issued a statement which concluded with the following reference to Mr. Hlggens: It comes with poor g r u e e, especially from Mr Hlggens, who has been cited before the supreme court and reprimanded for his conduct as well as being suspended and required to publicly retract and apologise for similar 'conduct before the district court." Following the issuance of the letter, Mr. Higgins, through his attorney, Joseph McKnight, filed suit. Members of the two parties were busy early In the week looking up unregistered voters, and they predict u heavy vote for next Tuesday Mrs. Emma Murphy, registration agent for No. S precinct, states that a total of S86 names were placed on the books during the days for registration.
