Family Mental Health Support Groups CONNECT, a nonprofit that raises awareness of mental health issues, hosts a parents family and friends support group from noon to 1:30 p.m. on the second Tuesday of the month and at noon on the second Thursday of the month at the Blair Education Center at the Park City Hospital, 900 Round Valley Drive. CONNECT also hosts at support group for parents and guardians of school-age youth from 4-5 p.m. on the second Thursday of the month at Parley’s Park Elementary School Counseling Center, 4600 Silver Springs Drive. In addition, Connect Summit County hosts a family mental health peer support group at 6:15 p.m. every last Tuesday of the month at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave. The sessions are free and open to the public. This group covers topics relevant to all people struggling with any type of disordered eating. Some topics include, but are not limited to; intuitive eating, body image, emotional eating, triggers and coping skills, mindfulness, and self esteem.
